Train to be a Lissim teacher
Criteria for admission
Successful applicants will normally have a prior qualification in one of the conventional or complementary health professions.
Course structure
The course will comprise a total of 12 hours of lectures, demonstration and discussion on the topics of the syllabus (more details available on this website soon). This usually takes place over two consecutive days (normally a weekend).
Following this basic training, students undertake some study and practical/group work on their own. A brief reflective essay completes this part of the training.
There will normally be probationary period of 3 months before full certification as a Lissim teacher is granted by the board of examiners of the Lissim Pain Foundation. During this period the trainee is mentored by a practising Lissim teacher.
The Lissim professional training syllabus is registered with Balens Insurance Brokers, enabling certified Lissim teachers to take out an appropriate insurance policy in order to practise. www.balen.co.uk
