Participation at an introductory Lissim workshop will give you insight into the Lissim technique and the theory behind it, as well as 'hands-on' experience of how to use the technique to maximize its therapeutic benefits. These workshops are aimed at anyone wishing to acquire basic skills for use in the home context, or indeed anyone with an interest in pain relief, but will be particularly useful to health care practitioners seeking to expand their therapeutic resources.

At an introductory workshop you will learn about the Lissim approach and its discovery and development. You will learn how to identify pain lines and treat points anywhere on the body, and develop the practical skills to use the technique effectively on yourself, and on friends and family. You will also be given an outline of the topics and theories covered in the Lissim teacher training programme.

Introductory workshops are taught by certified and experienced Lissim teachers and members of the Lissim Pain Foundation.

The numbers of participants at an introductory workshop is generally limited to 12. Workshops last around 3 hours including a break for refreshments, and take place either at the Lissim clinic in central Edinburgh or at a suitable venue of your choice.

It is also possible to adapt workshops to specific professional groups to meet your organization's continuing professional development (CPD) criteria. Please use the contact form on this website if you would like to discuss options in this regard.
